We look forward to welcoming the first 25 individuals who register to attend. WhenMonday May 27 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm ET WhereSilence Sounds (46 Essex St, Guelph, ON N1H 3K8) CostsOASW Members & Non-Members: $5 refundable deposit To encourage engagement among registrants, we kindly ask for a $5 deposit. Following your confirmed attendance of the event, attendees will be refunded. Event DescriptionJoin OASW Guelph & Area along with the Guelph Area Racialized Therapist Network (GARTN) for an opportunity to come together for community and connections at Silence Sounds. This is an opportunity for Racialized Therapists and Racialized Social Workers to gather together in a safer space to connect through an in-person, guided event that will include introductions to GARTN. There will be a schedule of several experiential activities that will encourage us to explore and hold space for our differences living together in a white dominant culture, as well as an opportunity to share food and conversation informally. Please bring your water bottle, a journal/paper and a pen. OPTIONAL: Attendees are welcome to bring food to share. Please bring a list of ingredients for any food items. Please note: This event is open to and meant for social workers and therapists identifying as Racialized, to facilitate open discussion and ensure a communal healing space for this community. Please Note: Your contact information may be shared with the Ambassador or event organizer for the process of day of coordination
