Pitching the Media
 Description

This is an intense and interactive two-part class. Not only will you learn what the media look for in a story, but you will actually pitch, one-on-one several journalists in the second session. Do you know how to pitch a story? Do you have a news peg? Can you quantify your work? can you present context about your work and your issue?  In the first session, we will help you organize, set up a pitch and practice it. In the second, we’ll have you pitch a panel of journalists. None of them have any obligation to write a story, but they will tell you what works and what doesn’t. (Reporters are under no obligation to write stories about any of the pitches.) This workshop is 2 half-days.
