What is an editor? What role does an editor play? What can we expect from such a language expert? How can an editor meet client expectations within imposed deadlines and budgets? How can the feeling of accomplishment be reconciled with mandates that focus solely on the "prescriptive" aspect? These are some of the questions that will feed the discussion led in French by France Brûlé, an experienced editor who has long reflected on the subject, especially while preparing her master’s thesis.


Come and talk with other professionals over a good meal! This first Dinner & Discussion organized by Editors Québec in the Vieille Capitale will be an opportunity to reflect on the craft of editing in a convivial setting.
