on the MOVE/danse TRANSIT 2021 - Complete Program Web Series
 Description

on the MOVE is a dynamic career planning and networking conference designed specifically for dance students in the graduating year of their professional programs and emerging artists on the cusp of entering a performance career.

Presented by the Dancer Transition Resource Centre (DTRC) in collaboration with regional and national arts service organizations, on the MOVE / danse TRANSIT welcomes young dancers into the professional dance community, and provides them with the skills, resources and networking opportunities they need to make an inspired and informed transition into the profession. This year, we had also planned to offer a Keep On Moving (KOM) schedule of programming that is traditionally focused on more experienced professionals. In looking at the content we are offering, we have expanded  the invitation to not only graduating dancers but also dancers that have already spent a few years in the dance field as professionals. We think you’ll agree that the topics are relevant to both emerging dancers and more seasoned artists. We look forward to seeing on Zoom soon!

Below are the variety of online workshops, panels & networking activities available at no cost for registration for the whole season! Enjoy our offerings in both English and French and take advantage of activities that are animating dance voices in your region and across the country. Each session is presented by a different region or from a national perspective, while we invite everyone to join us to each even if you live internationally. This is a great chance to learn valuable skills and resources as well as make new connections with dancers of all forms!

DTRC aims to bring artists, arts professionals, audience members and community partners from various backgrounds together, through dance programming. If you have specific accessibility needs you would like to discuss with the organizing team, please reach out to DTRC staff at communications@dtrc.ca at least 72 hours in advance of the event you would like to attend and we will make every effort to reasonably support your requirements.

ASL interpreting is being provided by Toronto Sign Language Interpreter Service.

We welcome your comments as we continue to remove and prevent barriers to participation. To share feedback and for additional information, email Kristian Clarke, Executive Director (executivedirector@dtrc.ca) or call: 416-595-5655.
