|2017 CWCF-CoopZone Conference|
This is the registration for the 2017 Conference of CWCF and CoopZone with the collaboration of the Quebec Worker Co-op RESEAU, and includes the CWCF AGM. It will take place from Thursday, November 2nd through Saturday, November 4th, and there will also be an optional Pub Night on November 1st for those who will have arrived by then. The primary Conference venue is the Four Points Sheraton in Gatineau, and one activity (the Worker Co-op Management Intensive Day) will be held at the Business Inn on Elgin, Ottawa. Note that these two hotels are only about 3 kms apart.
The Conference is set up in two parts:
Day One (Thurs. Nov. 2nd): Intensive Sessions- There are two different options for this day.
1) For worker co-op members (only), there is a Worker Co-op Management Intensive. Space is limited for this session; please register early. Also, it is in a different location than the rest of the Conference - at the Business Inn on Elgin.
2) For developers, there is a Co-op Developer Intensive. (At the Four Points Sheraton, Gatineau)
Days Two and Three of the Conference (Fri., Nov. 3rd & Sat., Nov, 4th): are for both worker co-op members and developer / CoopZone members. It takes place at the Four Points Sheraton, Gatineau.
Registration Fees :
The registration fee covers access to all Conference activities, and lunches on Friday and Saturday.
Not included are accommodations, other meals, and tax. We will make recommendations for Thursday lunch, and dinners - including for special diets, low-budget options, etc.
NOTE: Early bird fees apply until Sept. 30th.
Rates for Members** of CWCF, RÉSEAU, another Worker Co-op Federation, or CoopZone
Conference fees for members are offered on a cost-recovery basis. For those members who cannot easily afford this fee, we offer a subsidized rate, upon request. This subsidized rate is also intended for those members sending a second or third (etc.) participant.
Three-day Conference Package for Members**
Registration Fee: $145 (early bird); $180 (regular)
Subsidized Fee*: $ 75 (early bird); $ 90 (regular)

**Members’ rate applies to Regular, Associate, Regional Federation and Developer and Members of CWCF or of other WC Federations, and all members of CoopZone. NOTE: non-profit organizations not eligible for CWCF membership may be eligible for the member rate. Please contact us.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotels, at no additional cost.
There are two hotesl options for accommodations; Four Points Sheraton in Gatineau, plus the Duvernay Studios and Suites, and very inexpensive options at the Ottawa Jail Hostel only 2.5 km away from the Sheraton. For those staying at the Jail Hostel, we will help to coordinate transportation to the Conference venues.

The rate is $149 for single or double, and $169 for triple.
In order to get the Conference rate, please make your reservation by October 2nd . It may be possible to book rooms after this date. Parking is available on site for $15/ night plus tax.
2) Ottawa Jail Hostel

Reservations have been made for a limited number of rooms at the Hostel for November 1st, 2nd and 3rd. You must register for these during your conference registration. The deadline for booking these rooms is Oct. 10th.
Single room (Authentic Jail Cell) $50 (Wed & Thurs) to $53 (Fri) per night (plus taxes)
Shared Co-ed Room (Dorm style) $40(Wed & Thurs) to $42 (Fri) per night (plus taxes)
*Notes: Hostel rates include breakfast, linens, WIFI and an orientation tour of the jail. If you have a Hi hostel membership you can show that on arrival at the hostel to receive a discount.

Limited parking is available on site for $12/ night. Other parking options at similar prices are available. Please ask at the Hostel.

BILLETS AND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS:
We may be able to make billet spaces available, provided by our members in the area. If you are interested, please indicate this on your registration form.
Car-pooling: Some individuals in Toronto, Montreal & other nearby regions may be car-pooling to the Conference; please indicate on the registration form if you are interested in joining or starting a car-pool.
Air Transportation, & Ground Transportation from the Airport: The Ottawa International Airport is about a 20-minute drive to the Sheraton, and slightly less to the Ottawa Jail Hostel. It is also possible to take transit.
Worker Co-op Members: A transportation subsidy is available to CWCF worker co-op members (who come from outside of a 1/2-day driving time/radius into Ottawa/Gatineau) to assist them to attend. This amount will be approximately 1/2 the seatsale airfare cost. If you require this subsidy, please indicate this on your registration form. Please book early, as the individual subsidy, and possibly the number of subsidies, will be limited.
CWCF will also subsidize the cost of car-pooling from outside the area, upon request.
INTERPRETATION: We are able to offer simultaneous French/English interpretation for all plenary sessions and some workshops, plus whispered translation as needed in others.
