About The Presenters:
Beili Wong (FCPA, FCA, CIA, CISA, MBA, C. Dir.)
Beili Wong is the Chief Internal Auditor of the Province of
Ontario. Prior to this appointment, Beili was an executive at
the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, providing strategic
advice to its Board of Directors and President & CEO in
the area of finance, risk management and audit. Her global
experience includes consulting and audit projects in 18
countries and four continents, in retail, wholesale,
logistics, manufacturing operations, and government.
Beili is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors
(IIA)’s North American and Global Board, serving as Canada’s
representative. In 2019, Beili received her CPA Fellowship
(FCPA) designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants
of Ontario (CPA Ontario), recognizing her achievements and
leadership at work and community engagement. As an immigrant
to this great nation, Beili is a proud champion for inclusion
and diversity.
Francis Nicholson (CIA, QIAL, CRMA)
Francis Nicholson is the Vice President of Global Relations
at The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in Florida, USA.
In this capacity he is responsible for supporting the 100+ IIA
affiliates around the world in their mission to service the
professional needs of internal auditors and advance the
profession of internal auditing. Francis was the staff liaison
to the IIA working group that led the review and update of the
Three Lines of Defense.
Francis joined the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors
in London, an affiliate of the global body, in 2007 as the
Director of Education. He has over 25 years’ experience in
vocational and academic training, education, and professional
development as an instructor, curriculum designer, faculty
head, assistant principal, and consultant. He moved to Florida
in 2013 and has held a number of roles for The IIA in
training, certifications, and advocacy.
