Event topic overview:
Cyber incidents are a top concern for organizations of all sizes and
across all industries. Their impact could be devastating well beyond
technology. To effectively respond and return to normal operations,
organizations need to plan for a holistic response encompassing people
and business processes. When the inevitable happens, are you confident
that you can effectively respond and limit impacts from:
- Loss of brand reputation and customer loyalty
- Financial fines and litigation expenses
- Loss of employee productivity
- Disruption of business services
- Loss of market competitiveness
- Potential for loss or harm to life
Internal Audit is well-positioned to help management gain comfort
over their cyber incident planning process by providing an
enterprise-wide perspective and evaluating how effective the plan
would be. This presentation will look at the role Internal Audit can
play in the cyber incident response planning process and in helping
level‑set expectations of leadership in preparation of a
cyber-security breach. Important steps to take during a security
incident response will also be reviewed.
