Event Topic Overview: 

We are going through really challenging times of rapid change and evolution. The pandemic has highlighted issues and challenges all businesses and governments face, from the speed of emerging risks; the global interconnectedness of business and society; and how we react to adversity.

As internal audit professionals, we need to learn valuable lessons to be ready for tomorrow.  

This session will highlight how Internal Audit & Advisory Services plans to learn form the pandemic.

About the Presenter:

Stephen Ward (CPA, CA, CIA) is currently the Executive Director (Chief Audit Executive) for Internal Audit & Advisory Services at the Ministry of Finance for the Government of British Columbia.  Steve was one of the founding members of the IIA Vancouver Island Chapter and has over 30 years of extensive experience within the public sector.  Many of you will have worked with him in the Victoria market through his years in consulting and in government.
