Foreign Interference in Canada

Event topic overview:
Foreign interference is a hot topic in Canada, with seemingly
daily news stories citing it as a threat against many facets of
our society. From elections, to economic prosperity, to research
security and intellectual property protection, and even the safety
and wellbeing of diaspora groups, foreign interference can impact
a wide range of our country’s values and institutions. But it can
also be a nebulous topic, difficult to define and discuss.
Foreign interference is clandestine or deceptive or involves a
threat and is detrimental to Canadian or potentially an
organization’s or individual’s interests.
As auditors and information security professionals, this session
will help to clarify what foreign interference is and to provide
contemporary insights into how foreign interference impacts the
work you do in your various organizations.
