in the Public Sector

Overview:
To give an overview of the new Global Internal Audit Standards
including a quick recap of the Standards setting process and synopsis
of moving from the proposed Standards issued for public comment in
early 2023 to the final released January 9th, 2024. We will
dive deeper into how specifics relate within the unique operating
environment of the public sector and give insights into how public
sector auditors may seek conformance with the newly revised Standards.
Additionally we will discuss next steps in updates to the full
International Professional Practices Framework and what you as an
internal auditor can be looking for from the IIA, as well as providing
an overview of resources created specifically for public sector
internal auditors.
