When Wildlife Need Help Did you know that the Oakville & Milton Humane Society receives calls to assist with wildlife many times each year? Have you ever thought about what happens when they come to OMHS? Our next virtual Speaker Series event will highlight the Hobbitstee Wildlife Refuge, which cares for an average of 3,000 wild animals each year with the goal of returning them to the wild. Hobbitstee serves a large part of South Western Ontario and acquires of the wildlife they care for from SPCAs, Humane Societies and Animal Control Agencies. With the exception of bears, all species of widlife are rehabilitated.

About the presenter Chantal Theijn
Chantal Theijn, founder and Authorized Wildlife Custodian at Hobbitstee Wildlife Refuge, is located in Haldiman County Nanticoke. Her Refuge cares for an average of 3,000 wild animals each year with the goal of retuning them to the wild. |
