COMPLIMENTARY ONLINE LUNCH & LEARN SESSION

 

Session Description:

Organizations continue to invest in cybersecurity capabilities in order to respond to emerging risks. How can leaders validate whether the right investments are being made, or whether the right actions are being taken by the team?

In this session, we will address the following key questions:

  • What are some ways for leadership to understand the current security posture?

  • How can maturity models account for an organization’s unique regulatory, customer-facing, and internal demands?

  • Why bother?

Within the session we will walk through two methodologies which outline Richter’s recent experience in helping multinational companies measure and communicate cybersecurity maturity to leadership and clients. The focus of these sessions will be to use real life examples to highlight the following:

  • Methodology

  • Walkthrough two methodologies to measure cybersecurity maturity – Threat Risk Assessment and Capability Maturity Model Integration

  • Identification of shortfalls and weaknesses for each methodology

  • How?

  • Discuss and share pitfalls and failures in measuring maturity

  • Walk through key questions and takeaways in our lessons learned

 

Speaker Profile:

Will Xiang, CPA, CA, CITP, CAMS

Will is a Vice President within Richter’s Risk Consulting Practice. With over 14 years of experience, Will has worked in Toronto, New York, and San Francisco to help multinational company manage key risk.

As part of Will’s role, he works closely with the CISO office for multinationals, in the drive to help CISOs invest in the right team, technology, and processes to reduce cyber risks.
