Synopsis

Conducting offensive security exercises helps organizations understand their exposure to evolving threats. In this day and age of breaches it is important for organizations to determine their weaknesses and act accordingly to remediate.

Offensive security is a proactive approach to help protect systems, networks, and applications while closely emulating real-world adversaries. 

This 3.5-hour session will enable attendees to better understand the various facets of offensive security. Covering the basics like vulnerability scanning and assessments to more advanced techniques like penetration testing and red teaming. This session will cover current industry standards, frameworks, and approaches to help professionals effectively conduct offensive security engagements.

Speaker Bio:

Andre Sookram is MNP Cyber Security’s Red Team Lead and managing consultant. Andre has extensive knowledge in network and application security, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, red teaming, social engineering, SCADA and industrial control systems, and operating system hardening.  Andre has acted as the primary technical lead and subject matter expert on Cyber Security Assessments for various private and public organizations in government and industries such as retail, finance, insurance, manufacturing, computer, communication, utilities, healthcare, and business services.
