ACCOMMODATION 

Accommodations are not included with registration.  AGM Delegates may arrange their own accommodation or take advantage of  SPECIAL BCWF ROOM RATES  at the following hotels: 

Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre 

Call the hotel directly at 250-262-3233 and use code WILDLIFE to book or mention the BC Wildlife Federation. Otherwise, visit the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre website to book: http://www.pomeroyhotel.com/stjohn/ 

Select the dates of your stay. For your convenience, rooms have been blocked for BCWF from May 7 to May 11, 2019 for guests arriving early but you can select the appropriate number of days for your own booking. 

In the booking screen, on the right hand side, click on the field that says "Add Code". 

From the drop-down menu, select "Group Attendee" and enter code WILDLIFE. 

A screen will pop up titled "Please join us for the BC Wildlife Federation 2019". 

Press the gold button labeled "Select & Go to the Next Step". 

Complete your Booking. 

 

Holiday Inn Express

Guests can call the hotel directly at 250-787-7737 and provide the group code which is BCWF or mention the BC Wildlife Federation. There is no group code to book online. 


 

REGISTRATION TYPES

1. VOTING MEMBERS (must be BC Wildlife Federation Members in good standing). All voting members can register for a 3-Day Registration which includes all evening events and meals. Additional tickets can be purchased for evening events. 

Voting - CLUB Delegate

Club Delegates are selected and sent by their BCWF-affiliated club. Clubs must be in good standing in order for delegates to attend.   

Voting - DIRECT Member

BCWF Direct Members (those that are not Members of a Fish & Game Club), are entitled to send voting delegates to represent the Direct Members’ Club at the 2019 BCWF AGM & Convention, in accordance with section 7.2 of the BCWF Constitution & Bylaws (see below).

The Executive Committee of the Federation will review applicants from the Direct Members and select delegates up to the eligible number as set out in the voting entitlement in BCWF By-Law 7.2. The deadline for Direct Members to apply to attend the AGM is February 15, 2019.

Voting - REGIONAL Delegate

Regional Delegates are selected and voted on by each Regional Wildlife Association. 

Voting - YOUTH Delegate

Youth Club Delegates (aged 18 or under) are selected and sent by their BCWF-affiliated club. Clubs must be in good standing in order for delegates to attend. Youth Delegates will have access to specific activities tailored to youth but will return in time for member-only sessions. Youth Delegates must sign a waiver and consent form which will be provided after Registration is completed. 

2. NON-VOTING MEMBERS (must be BC Wildlife Federation Members in good standing). All non-voting members can register for a 3-Day Registration which includes all evening events and meals. Additional tickets can be purchased for evening events.

Non-Voting - CLUB Delegate

Non-Voting Club Delegates are selected and sent by their BCWF-affiliated club. Clubs must be in good standing in order for delegates to attend. 


Non-Voting - DIRECT Member

Direct Members are encouraged to attend the BCWF AGM to learn more about the BC Wildlife Federation. There will be opportunities to learn about the BCWF's strategic initiatives and mandate and keep current on issues involving fish, wildlife, and their habitats in BC. 

Non-Voting - LIFE Member

Life Members are encouraged to attend the BCWF AGM to learn more about the BC Wildlife Federation. As leaders in the organization, they are welcome to attend an exclusive breakfast where they will be able to pass on knowledge to Youth Delegates. 

Non-Voting YOUTH Delegate

Non-voting Youth Delegates (aged 18 or under) are encouraged to attend the BCWF AGM to learn about the BCWF's strategic initiatives and mandate and keep current on issues involving fish, wildlife, and their habitats in BC. Youth Delegates will have access to specific activities tailored to youth but will not be able to participate in voting. Youth Delegates must sign a waiver and consent form which will be provided after Registration is completed. Non-voting Youth Delegates may be Club or Direct Members in good standing.

1-Day registration is available to Guests who may or may not be members who would like to learn more about BC's fish, wildlife, and their habitats. Guests will not be allowed to attend or participate in member-only sessions. 

4. OTHER

SPOUSAL Program

Spouses are encouraged to attend the BCWF AGM. There will be specific programming available to spouses to explore Fort St. John and learn more about the Peace Region, 7B.
