The BC Wildlife Federation welcomes you to our first 2020 BOW event of the year! The BOW weekend will take place from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10 at the Easter Seals Camp Winfield in beautiful Lake Country, BC. Participate in our all-inclusive outdoor skills weekend for women. All courses are conducted by qualified, patient and supportive instructors in a safe, fun and educational environment. Registration deadline is April 10, 2020 or when full. Space is limited and based on a first-come, first-served basis. All courses are subject to instructor availability and number of interested participants. Early registrations will have the best chances for their first choices. You will be taking 4 courses during the weekend, please choose from the following: Archery .22 Marksmanship Trap Shooting Truck & Trailer Chainsaw/ Axe Handling Backpacking/ Hiking Hunting & Game Care Photography Back to Nature Wilderness Survival Canoeing Meal Dehydration Geocaching Basic Angling Fly Casting Beginner’s Trapping Cost: BCWF Member $350.00 (Plus GST) Non-Member $399.00 (Plus GST) Includes 1 Year BCWF Membership Fee includes instruction in all 4 sessions, program materials, use of equipment, meals, lodgings and a BOW T-shirt. Please contact the Programs Department at the BCWF if you have any questions about BOW registration: call 1-888-881-2293 or email programs@bcwf.bc.ca The Colleen Laviolette Scholarship Fund The Colleen Laviolette Scholarship Fund began in 1998 and was started by the Conservation Services to assist first time participants who may not be able to pay for a full registration. To apply for scholarship funding: please send your written request outlining the need by email to programs@bcwf.bc.ca, you will be notified if your application is approved and provided with instructions for registering online. Requests for a scholarship can also be mailed, along with the $225.00 payment, to the BCWF office at 101-9706 188th St. Surrey, BC V4N 3M2. Successful applicants will be notified by phone and provided registration instructions. Preference will be given to full time students and single parents. All requests will remain confidential. Cancellation Policy: A cancellation fee of $50.00 will be deducted from all cancellations. No refunds will be issued for any cancellation 30 days or less, prior to the BOW weekend, except in the case of a proven emergency. Registrants who do not attend and have not cancelled 30 days in advance will forfeit the full registration fee. You may send a substitute in your place if you cannot attend. |
