Go Wild! Youth for Conservation is an intensive 9-day overnight leadership program for youth ages 12 – 17. Go Wild gives youth hands-on opportunities to develop outdoor and leadership skills through a series of games, workshops, conservation projects and a 3-day 2-night backpacking trip. Participants will leave with the skills and knowledge to become environmental leaders and become involved in conservation projects. This is a perfect fit for youth who enjoy the outdoors and want to gain leadership skills. This camp is filled with fun activities designed to engage, educate, and inspire youth in conservation initiatives and leadership. The valuable experiences gained from camp will leave a lasting impact both in personal development and as change-makers in the community. Activities may include:
A more detailed schedule will be included in a Parent Handbook, which will be sent via email a few weeks prior to camp. The Parent Handbook provides an overview of camp logistics such as where campers must be dropped off and picked up, forms, etc.

Time: 11:00 AM drop off on Wednesday, July 17th 1:30 PM pick up on Thursday, July 25th
Location: Silver Lake Camp, Peachland 4225 Silver Lake Resort Road, Peachland
What to Bring: As Go Wild is an overnight camp, participants are asked to bring all of the personal belongings they would require to be at camp (e.g. spare clothing, medication, toiletries, etc.). Participants will also be asked to bring other items specific to Go Wild activities. A brief list can be found below, though an exhaustive list will be included in the Parent Handbook. If a participant does not have one of the required items (e.g. a hiking backpack) please contact us at youth@bcwf.bc.ca as we have several extra items that campers can borrow. Everyday
In addition, please dress in comfortable clothes and closed-toe footwear, suitable for the weather and outdoor activities. Bring a lunch and water bottle with you each day. For more information, contact:
