The Rocky Point Sailing Association is a non-profit association located at Rocky Point Park, in Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada.

Youth - 2020 - Volunteer Training

The program runs 9 am - 4 pm Monday - Friday for one week and is available for youth 14 - 18

Pre-requisites: CANSail 3

This program is designed for those sailing students who have completed their CANSail 3 and are now ready to start learning to be a sailing instructor. This course offers certificates for CPR-C, First-Aid, and the Pleasure Craft Operator Card. This course will cover most of the prerequisites to registering for a Sail Canada instructor Clinic, and is mandatory before volunteering at RPSA.

What to bring:

  •          Closed toed shoes that can get wet are mandatory (no sandals or flip-flops)
  •          Appropriate, layered clothing for the weather
  •          Change of clothes and towel
  •          Lunch and snacks
  •          Water bottle
  •          Sunscreen

 What to expect:

  •          Programs run rain or shine
  •          Participants will be on the water as much as possible
  •          Personal flotation devices (PFDs) will be provided to all participants
  •          You will get wet

Drop-off and Pick-up for all programs will be in front of the Old Mill Boathouse, 2715 Esplanade St. Port Moody BC. V3H 3P4
