Discover Sailing - $100

No previous sailing experience required! Discover sailing at RPSA! This group sailing lesson is perfect for individuals ages 18+ who would like to see what sailing is all about.

Participants will learn basic sailing terminology, as well as some introductory helm skills including steering and adjusting sails. Lessons will be run using C420 dinghies; 2-person training dinghies which are designed for developing and refining beginner sailing skills.

Salty Sisters - $700

No previous sailing experience required! This program is designed for female-identifying adults ages 18 and up with little or no sailing experience. Participants learn to sail using the C420 dinghy. Sailors who successfully complete the program receive Sail Canada’s CANSail 1 and 2 certifications which are requirments for membership at RPSA. 

Topics to be covered include knots, points of sail, capsizing, basic helm skills, terminology and much more. With lots of on-the-water practice this course is an exceptional introduction to the sport of sailing.

CANSail Basic - $700

No previous sailing experience required! This program is designed for adults ages 18 and up with little or no sailing experience. Participants learn to sail using the C420 dinghy. Sailors who successfully complete the program receive Sail Canada’s CANSail 1 and 2 certification, which is required for club dinghy membership and boat usage.

Topics to be covered include knots, points of sail, capsizing, basic helm skills, terminology and much more. With lots of on-the-water practice this course is an exceptional introduction to the sport of sailing.

What to bring

• Closed toed shoes that can get wet are mandatory (no sandals or flip-flops)
• Appropriate, layered clothing for the weather
• Change of clothes and towel
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen
• PFD

Within 2 weeks of course start date: 50% Refund

Transfers may not be possible within two weeks of course start.
