CES Career Education Society

2020 VIRTUAL Conference

Oh, the Trails You'll Blaze! – November 23 - 24, 2020

The CES Career Education Society of British Columbia invites career development champions to present a workshop at this year’s VIRTUAL conference.  Our revised format for 2020 is due to COVID-19 and the associated challenges with group size limits, social distancing and travel.  With our theme of “Oh, the Trails You’ll Blaze!”, the conference will offer workshops to help students steer themselves any direction they choose, and educators with strategies for teaching in new and creative ways. If you have not had virtual presentation experience, the CES will be providing presenters with a “How to Present Virtually” training opportunity.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: 4:00pm Friday , June 24th, 2020

YOUR AUDIENCE:

The primary conference audience consists of K-12 educators (teachers, administrators, career counsellors).  Attendees will be inspired by a virtual presentation that is engaging and that offers specific knowledge, skills, lessons, activities and/or resources that can support and enhance their program delivery.

THE WORKSHOPS:

The presentations will be 45 – 60 minutes in length and can include aninteractive component, group panels, moderated discussion/chat or another creative option.  Zoom will likely be the conference platform.  When completing your application, please specify past virtual presentation experience.  If you have not had virtual presentation experience, the CES will be providing presenters with a “How to Present Virtually” training opportunity.  This will be held well in advance of the conference.  NOTE: Presentations should not be focussed on promoting any product or service for purchase.  Applicants will be contacted by June 12th if their workshop proposal is selected
