We may associate pledge-a-thons with a fixed-time event such as a walk-a-thon or bowl-a-thon, but there are other possibilities that allow fundraisers to reach out to their contacts for donations to a good cause over a longer period of time.
For example, if your organization has a multi-year capital campaign, you can encourage key fundraisers to set up individual or group pages. Making a personal appeal, combined with providing an easy way to give, is an effective long-term strategy.
