What are the letters for in the Order ID numbers?

Sometimes you will see a letter at the beginning of the Order ID. The letter indicates which GiftTool service was used for the transaction:

• D = Donation service.
• R = Event Registrar service.
• M = Membership service.
• S = Shopping Cart service.
• P = Pledge-A-Thon service. Note that PP indicates an offline donation through the Pledge-a-thon service.

The letter before the Order ID for a CAD tax receipt indicates how the tax receipt was issued:

• D = Receipt for one-time donation made online through the Donation service.
• Y = Yearly receipt for recurring donors.
• B = Bulk receipt issued manually by your staff using the Issue Single or Multiple receipts section.
• P = Receipt for Pledge-a-thon online donation.
• AP  = Receipt for Pledge-a-thon offline donation.
• R = Receipt for Event Registrar donation.
• M = Receipt for Membership donation.
