How do I use Copy to create a new donation appeal?

GiftTool makes it simple for you to run similar appeals over time. If you have a seasonal appeal that occurs annually, there is no need to rebuild the appeal from scratch.

Copying an appeal lets you create a new appeal based on the setup of an existing appeal. By copying an appeal, it also ensures that you start with a clean database with no donors listed in the appeal reports.

To create a copy of an existing appeal:

1. Click Donations in the left navigation.
2. Click Appeals. The appeal you want to copy could be under Draft, Active or Archived.  
3. Click Profile beside the appeal name.
4. Click Copy located at the bottom of the profile.
   • The new copy of this appeal will appear in your Draft folder in the Appeals section.
   • The copy will have a new appeal #, and [Copy] will appear at the front of the appeal title.
5. Click Change to modify your appeal, and Activate before going live.
