Hi,

As you know from my general info email, I am participating in another medical relief trip with TEAM BROKEN EARTH, this time in Azua, Dominican Republic. The team I will be travelling with is focusing on Orthopedic Surgery, and will be the first TBE team to visit this area.

Our goal is to provide emergent orthopedic care to patients who cannot otherwise afford treatment, while also collaborating with local helath care professionals as much as possible. We are working hard to acculmulate a long list of equipment and supplies: plates, screws, surgical instruments, gowns, gloves, drapes, needles, sutures, syringes, medications - the list is long!!!

Donations to our team page, and to specific members form the basis of our ability to acquire what we need, in order to treat local patients. These funds will also help to cover travel and accommodation expenses for our team.
