For the first time ever, Team Ottawa is heading to Duquesa, Dominican Republic, from June 14 - 21, 2025, to provide much-needed primary medical care to individuals and families who currently have no access to healthcare.

In partnership with Community Empowerment and RUSH University, our dedicated team of volunteers from Ottawa and Newfoundland will spend the week serving communities living and around Duquesa landfill - the first largest landfill in the world. This area is home to a significant population of Haitian migrants, many of whom lie in extreme poverty just steps away from the landfill, with no available medical support.

Our mission is simple, but powerful: to offer compassionate, hands-on care to people who have long been underserved. Thank you for supporting our life-changing work.
