Hello everyone.  In October of this year I have the privilege of being a part of Team Broken Earth Barrie and will be travelling to Guatemala.  This will be my second trip with an amazing group of individuals who strive to change the world one person at a time.  This year I was given the book 'Hope In The Balance' written by Dr. Andrew Furey and from it I learned the origins of Broken Earth.  It was a book that I couldn't put down and I highly recommend it.  Last year I underwent cancer treatment and experienced the privilege of health care in Canada and so this year I will go to Guatemala with quite a different perspective.  The joy and appreciation I will see in the eyes of the people we will care for will mean so much more knowing what a gift and privilege good health care really is!
