Team Ottawa will return to the Dominican Republic from November 20–30, 2026, for a week of orthopaedic surgeries at Taiwan Hospital in Azua.
During this mission, our dedicated team of medical professionals will provide life-changing surgical care to local Dominican residents and Haitian refugees who otherwise lack access to the healthcare they need due to financial barriers. The team will perform a wide range of procedures, including acute fracture repairs, reconstruction of untreated fractures and post-traumatic complications, surgical management of orthopaedic infections, selected elective procedures (such as carpal tunnel and rotator cuff surgeries), and biopsies of masses or tumours when indicated.
We cannot accomplish these missions alone. Your support makes it possible for us to restore mobility, relieve pain, and improve lives. Please consider supporting Team Ottawa's efforts—and thank you for being part of every mission we send.
