I am an orthopedic surgeon at Montfort Hospital and I will be participating in a medical relief and education mission with members of Team Broken Earth Ottawa in November 2026.
I will be travelling to Azua, Dominican Republic with a team of nurses, pediatric plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists and orthopaedic surgeons. The primary focus of the orthopaedic surgery team will be to provide surgical care for patients with traumatic injuries.
This global health initiative heavily relies on donations to bring medical equipment and support healthcare in countries with extremely limited resources. I have created my own fundraising page to collect donations in support of this effort.
