I am happy to return this year to the Father's Day Run. This started participating in this fundraising activity when it was called "Do it for Dad" more than 20 years agoand that was exactly the reason I joined.
My dad got diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer and living abroad it was hard to do as much as I would've liked for him, so I did what I could on this paralell. The only year I was not able to be part of the run was the year that my dad passed from this disease exactly on Father's Day.
Since then, I have been involved with the run every year and most recently, i joined the Foundation with the run to bring a patient's perspective to its Board and its Committes. Your money helps the Support Groups for Patients and Families, the reasearch done across Canada and many other activities to enhance the lives of those living with the disease as I do now.
So don't hesitate and sponsor me now. We can all make a diference.
