💙 About the Cause

The Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada is dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and supporting men and families affected by prostate cancer. They work to improve early detection, provide education and support, and help create better outcomes for men across Canada. Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men and early detection can save lives. That’s why this cause matters so much to me.

💙 My Why

I’m running in the Father’s Day Run in honour of my dad, the most giving and selfless person I’ve ever known. When my dad was diagnosed, we didn’t realize how advanced it was. By the time we found out, it was already stage 4. Hearing those words changed everything. Prostate cancer often has little to no symptoms in the early stages. Many men don’t get checked. Some feel uncomfortable. Some don’t think it could happen to them. I’m sharing our story because I want that to change. I want men to feel safe getting screened. I want conversations about men’s health to feel normal. I want fewer families to be blindsided by a late-stage diagnosis. My dad gave so much to everyone around him. This is my way of giving back in his honour. Every donation helps fund research, awareness, and support families.
