As we move closer to Father’s Day, I am once again stepping up to fight against prostate cancer.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Join team Pain in the Ass or make a donation.
WHY AM I PARTICIPATING IN THE RUN?
Because it has been 18 years since I was diagnosed with terminal Prostate Cancer and told I had less than three years to live. I am still here and able to get Team "Pain In The Ass" involved in their 19th Father's day walk/run! There have been many in my life that didn't make it this far including team members who lost their battle with this underfunded disease.
The Father's Day Walk Run is an annual event hosted by Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, a volunteer based organization that represents Canada’s prostate cancer patients, their families and communities. Even if you aren’t a walker or a runner, you can still step up and volunteer or consider donating to PCFC to fund research for this disease that currently affects 1 in 8 men.
Every donation, no matter how small, will have a large impact for men and their families dealing with a diagnosis of prostate cancer in Canada.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for giving the men in your life the gift of health this Father's Day.
