On Sunday June 21, 2026, I will be part of “Team George Marr” participating in the Father's Day Run for Prostate Cancer in honour of my grandfather. The run is held each year in an effort to raise funds for Prostate Cancer research and awareness.
This year's Father's Day Run will be held at Burnaby Lake Park, where Team George Marr will be walking and running in support of this cause. With your support, we have raised nearly $108,000 for prostate cancer research over the past 17 years.
We would love to receive your support for this cause which is close to the hearts of my family.

George Marr was full of life and loved to practice Tai Chi. On Sunday June 21, 2026, Team George Marr (made up of family and friends) will, in his memory, participate in the Father's Day Run for Prostate Cancer to support Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada.

WHY AM I PARTICIPATING IN THE RUN?
Because this run is for the tens of thousands of Canadian men living courageously with prostate cancer and their families. It’s for all the men who have died from this disease and the families who have lost loved ones. It’s for the roughly 26,000 men who will be diagnosed each year and everyone who cares about them.
The Father's Day Walk Run is an annual event hosted by Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, a volunteer based organization that represents Canada’s prostate cancer patients, their families and communities. Even if you aren’t a walker or a runner, you can still step up and volunteer or consider donating to PCFC to fund research for this disease that currently affects 1 in 8 men.
Every donation, no matter how small, will have a large impact for men and their families dealing with a diagnosis of prostate cancer in Canada.
