We are walking in support of prostate cancer!
The Bacher Family team is walking in ‘memory’ of Aaron Bacher. He was diagnosed with early-stage Prostate Cancer 25 years ago. He successfully had Brachytherapy on Feb. 15, 2000 - his second grandson Max's actual "birth" day. As past chair of Prostate Cancer Support - Toronto chapter - he helped counsel hundreds of men, and their partners, to understand the many options for treatment.
He sadly passed away in March of 2022, and we have heard from many people about how his advice, support for awareness and education, and advocacy for testing helped saved lives. PCS Toronto continues to provide support and education about prostate cancer in partnership with many hospitals across the GTA. Dad was a prostate cancer survivor and through testing, new treatments and awareness the disease is being detected earlier providing better outcomes for patients.
Please consider sponsoring the Bacher Family team this year to help raise funds for education, research and treatment for prostate cancer and mental health!
THE FATHER'S DAY WALK RUN EVENT
Is an annual event hosted by Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada, a volunteer based organization that represents Canada’s prostate cancer patients, their families and communities. Even if you aren’t a walker or a runner, you can still step up and volunteer or consider donating.
Every donation, big or small, will have a huge impact for men and their families dealing with a prostate cancer diagnosis in Canada.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for giving the men in your life the gift of health this Father's Day.
