I am honoured to be participating in my fourth medical relief and education mission trip to Port au Prince, Haiti, with members ofTeam Broken Earth Ottawa in October, 2019. Team Broken Earth is a non-profit group of volunteer Canadian healthcare professionals that provides medical assistance to Haiti and other underdeveloped countries. There are several Broken Earth Teams across Canada, including here in Ottawa.
Team members have created their own individual fundraising pages to collect donations in support of this effort, as it costs approximately $2000 for each member to participate in the mission, which is funded only by donations and is conducted on volunteer time.
