Hi Everyone,

I am honoured to be participating in a medical relief and education mission trip to Port au Prince, Haiti, with members of Team Broken Earth Ottawa in October, 2019. Team Broken Earth is a non-profit group of volunteer Canadian healthcare professionals that provides medical assistance to Haiti and other underdeveloped countries, where some people wait for months with broken bones and other life-changing injuries. There are several Broken Earth Teams across Canada, including here in Ottawa.

This will be my second mission with Team Broken Earth, and I am really looking forward to returning to Haiti help make a difference in the lives of the Haitian people, while gaining new perspectives to take back to my work at home.

Team members have created their own individual fundraising pages to collect donations in support of this effort, as it costs approximately $2000 in logistics for each member to participate in the mission, which is funded only by donations and is conducted on volunteer time.
